Capture movement

To avoid having the same posed photos over and over again, give the subject some direction and tell them to do something. This will help make the photo look more candid and genuine.

Make sure your subject is the most important part of the photo

Whatever you’re taking photos of, make sure it is framed in such a way that the eye is immediately drawn to it. Make sure there is some distance between the subject and whatever is going on behind them. Make sure the aperture is low (the lower the f-stop number, the more blurred the background will look) to get a professional-looking photo.

Never underestimate the power of candids

Candid photos are powerful because they capture real moments in time. Always be looking out for opportune times to catch a moment that you’d love to remember later. There is something so special about candids because they show how people truly are without any walls or masks.
